Austin
was
born
in
Georgia,
and
graduated
from
Vanderbilt
University
in
May
of
2006.
While
in
college,
he
was
involved
with
Reformed
University
Fellowship,
Vanderbilt
Cycling,
and
the
Vanderbilt
Programming
Board.
In
addition
to
biking
ridiculously
long
distances,
Austin
enjoys
songwriting
and
riding
unicycles.
His
future
plans
include
working
in
Nashville
and
teaching
piano
lessons.
Tom
hails
from
Philadelphia
and
majored
in
Classics
and
Philosophy
at
Vanderbilt.
He
and
Austin
have
known
each
other
since
freshman
year
when
Austin
first
told
him
about
Rally
Across
America,
and
he
knew
the
ride
was
something
he
had
to
do.
Tom
has
always
enjoyed
cycling,
and
was
thrilled
at
the
idea
of
doing
a
long
ride
for
such
a
great
cause.
After
the
bicycle
tour,
Tom
plans
on
attending
law
school.
