Always smiling, athletic and enthusiastic Avery began complaining of back and leg pain in the spring of 2005. She was diagnosed
with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) the most common childhood cancer and just completed two years of chemotherapy treatment. All through treatment,
Avery maintained her contagious smile and a great sense of humor.
Avery, like most teenagers, enjoys hanging out with her friends and going to the beach.
She is a swimmer and an inspiration to all who know her.
